MetalFox and GDPR

Last Friday, our Dean rightly drew our attention to the compliance with the GDPR of the online services we use in order to ensure pedagogical continuity with our students, while complying with computer security standards on data processing.

Whether for training centres or for our professional users, we put in place all the means at our disposal to ensure and guarantee the security of our users’ data.
In order to be always up to date, we have security services carried out by specialist companies every six months. 
As such, MetalFox is fully compliant with the GDPR. 

As MetalFox is a 100% French company, none of the data collected is sent outside of France.

From a technical point of view, the security of our computer data is done at several levels:

1 – Our Web Servers:
A French company OVH, host our Web Servers. Data Centers are based in Dunkerque and Strasbourg.
These Data Centers and servers themselves are extremely secure.
The OVH company has several security certifications that it implements on all its data centers: PCI-DSS certification, ISO/IEC 27001 certification, SOC 1 TYPE II and SOC 2 TYPE II certifications.

2 – MetalFox.net domain:
MetalFox.net domain is in https.
HTTPS, for HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure, is the secure version of the protocol which is a client-server communication protocol created for the web.
The advanced security level of the domain is certified by Let’s Encrypt.
