Cylinders

Cylindre droit

Right Cylinder

Right cylinders are ones of basic elements of sheet metal working. They are used to manufacture pharmaceutical, food tanks, or parts of equipment such as, i.e. heat exchangers.

Enter your dimensions, indicate whether if you work usign inside or outside dimensions.
Then, you can choose to make it between 1 and 6 parts and indicate the welding gap that will be subtracted from the flattening layout.

MetalFox generates the flattening layout of all your straight cylinders free of charge, computes their weight according to the material and the lengths of the welds.

Cylindre coupé

Right Cylinder, Top truncated

Cylinders cut by a plane are often used for air evacuation. The its closing plate is an ellipse.

Enter your dimensions and indicate whether they are internal or external.
Change dimension button changes the position of the dimensions.
i.e. if you do not know the angle value but the lenght, click on this button to enter the lenght.

You can choose to manufacture this part in 1 to 6 sub-parts.
The welding gap will be automatically subtracted from the flattening layout.

Cylindre coupé en A

Right Cylinder, Top truncated "A" form

Cylinders cut by planes are often used for air evacuation.

Enter your dimensions and indicate whether they are internal or external.
Indicate the value of the left and right angles as well as their eventual offset.

You can choose to manufacture this part in 1 to 6 sub-parts.

Cylindre coupé en V

Right Cylinder, Top truncated "V" form

Cylinders cut by planes are often used for air evacuation.

Enter your dimensions and indicate whether they are internal or external.
Indicate the value of the left and right angles as well as their eventual offset.

Cylindre coupé en L

Right Cylinder, Top truncated "L" form

Cylinders cut by planes are often used for air evacuation.

Enter your dimensions and indicate whether they are internal or external.
Indicate the value of the left and right angles as well as their eventual offset.

You can choose to manufacture this part in 1 to 6 sub-parts.

Flattening of a right cuted by planes, using MetalFox, the software for sheet metal workers and pipefitters.

Cylindre coupé par deux plans opposés de même sens

Right Cylinder, Top and Base truncated

Enter your dimensions and indicate whether they are internal or external.

Enter the value of bottom and top angles.

You can choose to manufacture this part in 1 to 6 sub-parts.
The welding gap will be automatically subtracted from the flattening layout.

You can also choose the orientation of the welds, so that there are no weld nodes if you have to join several parts.
